SHEIKH MOHAMMED APPROVES EXPO CITY DUBAI MASTER PLAN FOR INNOVATION AND GROWTH
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has unveiled a new master plan for Expo City Dubai, designed to house 75,000 people, including 35,000 residents and 40,000 professionals, across 3.5sqkm and five districts. The city will feature DP World’s global headquarters and a Dh10 billion international exhibition centre, positioning it as a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and growth. Expo City will serve as a model for future cities, supporting Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33) and the 2040 Urban Master Plan. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized its role in advancing sustainability and enhancing quality of life, while Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed highlighted its strategic location. The city’s proximity to Al Maktoum Airport and Jebel Ali Port will boost development in Dubai South. DP World CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem noted the project as a major milestone, improving global connectivity through reduced sea-air transfer times.
