Aldar and Expo City Dubai Partner for $476M Multi-Use Project
ALDAR TEAMS UP WITH EXPO CITY DUBAI FOR $476 MILLION MIXED-USE DEVELOPMENT
Aldar, Abu Dhabi’s largest real estate developer, has partnered with Expo City Dubai for a Dh1.75 billion ($476 million) mixed-use development. The six-building project, part of the new master plan for the area that hosted Expo 2020 Dubai and Cop28, will include residential, office, and retail spaces spanning 103,000 square meters. Aldar and Expo City Dubai have formed a joint venture to deliver and manage the development. Located next to Dubai Exhibition Centre, the project will support a Dh10 billion expansion, increasing the exhibition space from 58,000 to 180,000 square meters by 2031.
The development will honor Expo 2020’s legacy and further transform the area into a premier international business district. Recently, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid approved a master plan to make Expo City a hub for pioneers, entrepreneurs, and investors. Expo City Dubai, spanning 3.5 square kilometers, will house 35,000 residents and 40,000 professionals. Key districts include Expo Hills, Expo Fields, and Expo Business, designed with smart transport systems and green spaces. Companies like Siemens and DP World are already relocating to the area, enhancing its role as a business hub. The master plan aligns with the 2040 Dubai Urban Master Plan and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
