Dubai’s hospitality sector sustained its upward trajectory, with the number of hotels reaching 825 by the end of May 2025, offering a total of 153,356 rooms. The average hotel occupancy rate climbed to 83%, compared to 81% during the same period last year. Total occupied room nights rose by 4% year-on-year to 19.09 million. The average length of stay stood at 3.8 nights, reflecting the city’s continued appeal to international guests. This steady increase in hotel inventory has supported Dubai’s growing tourism demand, providing a wide range of accommodations to suit diverse budgets and travel preferences.

Dubai attracted 8.68 million international visitors between January and May 2025, representing a 7% increase from the 8.12 million tourists recorded during the same period in 2024. According to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), May alone contributed 1.53 million arrivals. This growth follows the city’s record-setting tourism performance in 2024, when it hosted 18.72 million visitors. Western Europe remained the top source region, contributing over 1.9 million tourists. Other key markets included Russia, Eastern Europe, the CIS region, as well as the GCC, South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa, the Americas, Africa, and Australia.
