PALM JEBEL ALI: DOUBLE THE SIZE OF PALM JUMEIRAH, WITH 80+ HOTELS
The revival of the Palm Jebel Ali megaproject has been confirmed
The Palm Jebel Ali megaproject is back on track, as HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved its masterplan. This ambitious development will transform the destination with an impressive array of hotels, beaches, residential areas, and leisure attractions. Spanning twice the size of the Palm Jumeirah, it will also expand the city's coastline by approximately 110 kilometers, providing ample space for exciting new staycation spots, including at least 80 hotels and resorts.
Sheikh Mohammed, sharing the news on Instagram, expressed Dubai's goal of doubling its economy by 2033 while continuously enhancing the city's beauty. The original plans for Palm Jebel Ali featured six marinas, a water theme park, and a unique 'Sea Village' with homes built over the water. After a pause in 2009 due to the global financial crash, the project is being revisited by master developer Nakheel, taking advantage of Dubai's resurgent real estate market. Anticipation builds as Palm Jebel Ali begins its renewed journey, promising an extraordinary transformation for the city.
